Social & Networking Events

To compliment the technical programme, there will be lots of social networking opportunities at PETEX 2021 both at the live event and for our virtual attendees! Here’s what you can expect:

Tuesday 23rd November | Day 1

Exhibition Networking Evening | 17:30 – 19:30

For the first evening of PETEX 2021, there will be dedicated time to browse the exhibition floor and connect with company representatives from across the industry. Starting after the last technical session, you’ll have plenty of time to explore individual stands and see what exciting news and activities our exhibitors have to share.

Wednesday 24th November | Day 2

Network with Confidence | 16.30 – 17.30

You walk into a room of strangers, you know you must introduce yourself, make contacts, present yourself in a professional manner. Does it make you:

1. Break out in a cold sweat.
2. Hug the walls and try and become invisible.
3. Try and think of excuses so you can leave early.
4. Look for people you already know and stick like glue to them all evening.

If you have any of the above responses, come along and try this workshop, we will show you tips and tricks for building your confidence to get the most out of these networking events.

PETEX Pub Social Event | 17.30 – 19.30

Join us for the main social event at PETEX 2021 where you will have the opportunity to network with your colleagues and friends over a glass of wine!

Thursday 25th November | Day 3

YP & Student Networking Event | 10.30 / 12.45 / 15.15

If you’re a Young Professional or Student looking for a pressure-free space to make connections and expand your network. As part of the Africa Live Event there will be a dedicated area for YPs and students to come and meet our industry reps, who will be available to chat and answer any questions you may have on the industry, careers or their individual experiences. Scheduled during the break times, the space will be open to all, welcoming anyone for a chat in a relaxed atmosphere.
