On Day 2 of PETEX join us for an indoor pub crawl at the BDC. We’ll be transforming the Gallery into some iconic local pubs, each with their own decor and quirks.
Towering over Islington is The Angelic. Dark wood and high stools, this pub is boho chic. Famous as a home of some of the SEAPEX lectures. Join us in the candle lit bar for a traditional pub quiz.
The Steam Passage
This Islington institution, The Steam Passage, is steeped in folklore of conferences past. No PETEX is complete without attendance at some point Entering, you’ll be greeted with low tables and soft chairs, watch your head on the bunting and flags that represent the multinational nature of the clientele. If you are feeling brave you can take to the mic and show us some hidden talents.
The Three Johns
If you haven’t visited The Three Johns, then now is your chance. Lots of bare brick and iron candelabras provide the setting for quirky portraits and curiosities. Relax on the low wood chairs and see if you recognise the ‘Johns’ in our portraits.
The Fox on the Green
Another stalwart on the SEAPEX evening event programme with its white tower and clock overlooking Islington’s green space, this pub is for the sports enthusiast. Flags from different clubs and teams line the walls and live sport is shown on the large TV screens. Pull up a high stool at the bar and join the crowd in cheering on a sports game, even if you don’t know the rules!
* PETEX attendees with a valid, Day-2 ticket will be eligible to attend this event.
